Swansea University’s campuses have an impressive array of wildlife but keeping track of it all can be a challenge. By recording your wildlife sightings on the iNaturalist app, a community of experts can help identify what you have seen, you can discover what others have spotted and all records are collated together and help guide our conservation efforts.
As part of the Nature Positive Universities network there is now a global Campus Biodiversity Network on iNaturalist so by joining our local project you will be part of a global network.
We will be having a brief classroom session to have a look at the Swansea University iNaturalist projects and help get you set up on the app before heading through the campus and into the dunes of Crymlyn Burrows, recording wildlife as we go.
It would be helpful if you were able to download the free app and join the Swansea University projects beforehand, but there will be time to before we head out.
